A Few Do's and Don'ts to help you enjoy your holiday:
DO: buy milk with a Blue top (semi-skimmed) Red top (Full Cream) NOT Green top as it is like curdled milk!
DO: try and speak a few words of French, they love it if you try, you will be surprised at the response you get back be it either French or English!
YOU CANNOT: buy Petrol on a Sunday as you will need a French credit card. Super-U in Pipriac is open on a Sunday morning for petrol and food, but in general everywhere is closed.
DO NOT: forget most shops & businesses are closed during week days between the hours of 12-2pm except the larger supermarkets.
DO NOT: forget your English/French Dictionary.
DO NOT: forget your EHIC - (European Health Insurance Card - formerly E111), travel insurance & breakdown cover.
In General
You will find that the Bretons are very friendly people, and like to class themselves as separate from the rest of France with their celtic roots etc.
