About Me

Hiya, I would like to introduce myself to you, my name is Jill Harrison.

I came over to France 9 years ago with my ex-partner to escape, like many of us Brits, the rat race of the UK and to enrich our lives in a country that still has nature at its doorstep instead of an abundance of housing, lack of space, traffic jams and angry, no time for anything, people!

We bought and renovated this chocolate box style longere and converted it into gites. I now live here with my wonderful partner Keith and my 14 year old son Joshy who is now totally bi-lingual and who is really now a Garcon Francais!  We, as a team, have welcomed many families and made many friends whom return year after year.

I knew immediately that I had made the right decision when I realised I had the quality of life, I had peace, tranquility, time to breathe and to take in the beauty and views of the countryside around me, and to actually hear the birds singing - well I had forgotton how beautiful they sounded!  I know that I could never go back to the UK

In my spare time, I enjoy working in my garden, I actually have the time to sow my seeds and nurture them through to fruition.

There is nothing nicer then sitting in the garden with a glass of wine in one hand, book in the other, occasionally looking up to admire the stunning and beautiful array of hanging baskets, window boxes etc!

I love long walks in the countryside, cycling, reading, surfing the Internet. I also enjoy visiting local markets, buying local produce and seasonal products and creating a special regional dish or two!

I have a bubbly personality and like meeting people, indeed when attending to my garden of an evening, this often takes me a long while, in fact sometimes hours!  Mainly because whilst watering the abundance of flowers, my customers often talk to me and before I know it half an hour has passed - sometimes longer if an aperitif is involved and the enticing smell of the BBQ's are gently wafting past you making it very difficult to leave!

I am very happy to live in this part of Southern Brittany, and I look forward to welcoming and sharing with you my love for this beautiful area.
